Chitwan Tigers’ has finalized its squad for the upcoming season of Everest Premier League slated for September 25 start. Krijan Gurung, the left-arm spinner from Chitwan, has been added as the final member of the squad after impressing the watchful eyes of the coaching team during his stay in the camp for the EPL preparations. The 16-year-old was selected among the four Talent Hunt players in trial. Gurung will add luxury in the spin resources for the season. Likewise, Gautam KC, another local player groomed by Tigers, was picked during the auction itself further increasing the local quota of the squad promoting home-grown talents. FULL SQUAD: Sompal Kami (captain), Dilip Nath (vice-captain), Kamal Singh Airee, Shahab Alam, Ishan Pandey, Sagar Dhakal, Rajesh Pulami Magar, Hasim Ansari, Bhim Sharki, Khadak Bahadur Bohara, Sandeep Sunar, Dev Raj Khanal, Gautam KC, Krijan Gurung (Talent Hunt), Seekkuge Prasanna (Sri Lanka), Mohammad Shahzad (Afghanistan), Karim Janat (Afghanistan) and Virandeep Singh (Malaysia). Earlier, former Delhi cricketer Puru Singh was appointed as coach. The 40-year-old is an experienced and ICC Level II certified coach. Similarly, Samson Jung Thapa will be the chief coach assisted by Purnendra Ghosh as assistant coach and manager for the season. Likewise, Dr Saugat Shrestha will be the physiotherapist whereas Ashutosh Ghiraiya will take charge of PR and marketing.
