Left-arm spin twin Shahab Alam and Sagar Dhakal shared eight wickets, four each, between them to propel Chitwan Tigers in the final of Everest Premier League 2021. Tigers bundled-out Pokhara Rhinos for 66 runs in 15 overs after winning the toss and electing to bowl first in the first qualifier. Afghani allrounder Karim Janat and captain Sompal Kami further shared a wicket each to help Tigers dominate the match. Especially, Kami dismissed Richard Levi for 19 runs which set the tone for rest of the match. Levi top-scored for Rhinos. During the chase, Mohammad Shahzad continued his good form with bat. He scored 48 runs to lead the chase and shared a partnership of 63 runs with Hashim Ansari who stayed unbeaten on 14 runs. Tigers completed the chase in 7.5 overs. Shahab was adjudged player-of-the-match. Tigers will face the winner of the second qualifier on Saturday for the EPL title. Rhinos and Bhairahawa Gladiators will face for a place in the final on Thursday.
