Delhi former cricketer Puru Singh has been appointed as team manager and assistant coach of Chitwan Tigers for the forthcoming season of the premier T20 league, Everest Premier League. The 40-year-old is an experienced and certified coach hailing from one of the richest cricketing culture in the world. A former Delhi Women's U-19 and U-23 coach, Singh helped the Indian state side reach the finals of the 50-over competition during his first season with the U-19 team. Next year, Delhi Women's U-23 team reached the T20 Super League. Current ICC Level II coach, Singh is a former Delhi State Ranji Trophy player and featured in seven seasons rubbing shoulders with the likes of Gautam Gambhir, Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh and Ashish Nehra to name a few. Similarly, Samson Jung Thapa will be the head coach of the Chitwan Tigers for the upcoming season of Everest Premier League. Thapa is a recognizable name in Nepal cricket coaching. Likewise, Purnendu Ghosh is appointed as Assistant Coach and Team Mentor for the season. Dr Saugat Shrestha will be the physiotherapist whereas Dr Prakash Paudel will be in charge of medicals as Team Doctor. “The science behind cricket inspires me to evolve myself and impart that knowledge to the future generation.
