Taking up the culture of left-arm spin in Nepal, the-17-year-old is selected as one of the three finalists for the upcoming season of Everest Premier League. He had picked up a five-wicket-haul against Madi Tigers which was highlight of his campaign for Gurkhas. Gurung picked up a total of nine wickets in five matches conceding 76 runs in its 13.5 overs. He performed his duties of being the lead spin bowler for the team Gurkhas in CPL season 2020. An inspiring campaign which ended in final match, the right-handed batsman Dhakal top-scored for the team in the league. His wicket-keeping was also equally lauded. A fan favorite in Chitwan, Dhakal plays anchor’s role to perfection. He holds the innings together and stitches crucial partnerships with the batting partners.
