Skipper Sompal Kami, pace bowler Kamal Singh Airee and overseas pacer Karim Janat shared two wickets each to ensure Chitwan Tigers' two-wicket win over Biratnagar Warriors in the opening match of the Everest Premier League 2021. Tigers chased the target of 152 runs in 20 overs. Rajesh Pulami Magar stayed unbeaten on 43 runs off 39 deliveries to take Tigers over the line in the final ball of the match. Similarly, Bhim Sharki smashed 30 runs off 11 deliveries to provide early boost to the chase. Likewise, Dilip Nath and Karim Janat chipped in with 23 and 19 runs respectively. Earlier, captain Kami won the toss and elected to bowl first. Warriors were limited to 151 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 20 overs. Warriors' Zimbabwean player Sikandar Raza top scored with 67. Kamal Singh Airee was adjudged player of the match.
